Habitat: Residual Pool Depth at Main Digger Creek Battle WA Sites |

    |
Caption:  This chart shows the average residual pool depth in meters of both scour pools and all pools at all mainstem Digger Creek aquatic monitoring sites for the Battle Creek Watershed Assessment. Scour pools do not include those formed by large wood. The greatest depth occurred in reaches north of Digger Butte (site #047), but pool depth was relatively shallow at other Digger Creek sites ranging from a foot to two feet deep with no pools found in the reach below Ponderosa pool depth normally increases with stream size and shallow pool depth can be a sign of sediment supply. Abbreviations are ds = downstream and ab = above. Data from Terraqua (2004). See Info Links for more information.
