| Caption: This chart shows the pool frequency of all pools and scour pools per 100 meters at all mainstem North Fork Battle Creek Watershed Assessment sites (Terraqua, 2004). Pool frequency as displayed here is not scaled for stream width as it is in EMDS rating curves. Scour pools are those formed by stream meanders and not "forced" by large wood. Pool frequency appears to diminish on the North Fork in a down stream direction from sites #59 to #09. Only sample sites #034, #057, and #011 support anadromous fish. Sites #005, #052, and #002 had no pools present. Abbreviations are ds = downstream and ab = above. See Info Links for more information. | |
