Habitat: Residual Pool Depth at Main Battle WA Sites 2001-2002 |

Caption: This chart shows the average residual pool depth in meters of both scour pools and all types of pools at all lower mainstem Battle Creek Watershed Assessment sites. Scour pools do not include those formed by large wood. Both pool types were about an average of one meter or approximately three feet deep, with a range from .91 m to 1.2 m, although Terraqua (2004) notes that adult salmon prefer water 2 m deep or more.
