Habitat: Residual Pool Depth for Anadromous and Resident Reaches |
|
Caption: This chart shows the frequency of occurrence of pools by depth at all Battle Creek Watershed Assessment sites according to data collected by Terraqua (2004) in 2001 and 2002. Data are segregated by areas with salmon, steelhead and anadromous fish access and streams above barriers recognized as resident trout reaches. Pools in resident trout reaches were less than the 1 foot deep criteria ("fully unfavorable") at 40% of sites and 60% of pools in anadromous reaches were less than three feet deep, also rating as "fully unfavorable" according to the Battle Creek WA.
