Fish: Steelhead Adults Redds by Reach SF Trinity 1990-95 |

Caption: The number of steelhead nests per kilometer was calculated for the chart above from California Department of Fish and Game surveys in the late winter and spring in numerous South Fork Trinity River tributaries. Although Eltapom Creek has the highest redds per kilometer consistently, it has less than a mile of habitat accessible to anadromous salmonids. High water conditions in some years can cause difficult survey conditions and skew results. See Info Links for more information.
