WQ: Dissolved Oxygen in Estero San Antonio Surface V. Bottom 1988-1990 |

    |
Caption:  The graph shows instantaneous surface and bottom dissolved oxygen concentrations measured in Estero de San Antonio at Station S-4 during 1988-1990. The reference values represent the minimum North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (NCRWQCB) Stemple Creek TMDL thresholds to be met by 2004 at a specific saline (5.0 mg/L) and freshwater (6.0 mg/L) location in the watershed (Salisbury, 1997). In addition, a target of 7.0 mg/L must be met in the creek and estuary wherever and whenever the aquatic habitat is suitable for salmonid migration, rearing, and spawning and 9.0 mg/L during critical spawning and egg incubation periods, which is defined as applicable when and where anadromous fish redds are located. This monitoring was part of a water quality study of Americano and Stemple Creek watersheds by Merritt Smith Consulting for the City of Santa Rosa and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. See Picture for a map of the sampling locations and Info Links for more details.
