Fish: Campbell Creek Fyke Net, Total Catch by Species, 1996 |
|
Caption: The Salmon Troller's Marketing Association operated a fyke net in Campbell Creek for 105 days in the spring of 1996. Total numbers of aquatic invertebrates captured in the Campbell Creek trap show that steelhead trout out migrants were far more numerous than coho salmon out migrants, and that only nine coho smolts were captured. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows.
