Topic	Habitat: Scour Pool Habitat

 

Caption:  Ten Mile River basin stream surveys during the summers of 1995 and 1996 show that the percent stream habitat comprised of scour pools varied greatly. Scour formed habitat is associated with channel depth and complexity, and may be a particularly good parameter for assessing coho salmon rearing habitat availability. CRWQCB staff found that coho salmon persisted in the Ten Mile basin during the 1995-1998 period with some correlation to scour pool habitat availability. See Info Links for more information.
