   Caption:  This chart shows percent fines <0.85 mm in pool-tail gravels for various sites in Horace's Creek in 1999. Measurements were performed and reported by McBain and Trush (2000).  McBain and Trush used dry-sieve analysis methods to determine size distribution.  The reference value shown (10.3% <0.85 mm) is adjusted by the IFR KRIS staff from the Garcia TMDL threshold of 14% (<0.85 mm) using methods of Shirazi and Seim (1979). Values were in the optimal range for suitability for salmonid spawning, and well below the adjusted TMDL reference. See InfoLinks for more information.
