   Caption:  This chart shows floating weekly average (FWA) temperature at four sites (5225, 5229, 5207, 5232) in the Signal Creek watershed for the year 1997. The FWA of Signal Creek did not warm or cool more than 0.5°C as it flowed approximately 4.7 kilometers between the upper and lower sites. The maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C at two of four sites.  Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where the MWAT exceeds 16.8°C.
