Caption:  This chart shows mean pool-tail gravel permeabilities in Rolling Brook in 2000 as measured by the Mendocino Redwood Company. Whiskers show one standard error about the mean. Pool-tail permeabilities are low within the stream segment, when compared to the mainstem Garcia values (see previous Topic). The average permeability for the stream study segment is approximately 2500 cm/hr (pink line). Data were collected using the methods of McBain and Trush (2000) as part of the MRC long-term channel monitoring program. See InfoLinks for more information.
