   Caption:  The above chart plots floating weekly average temperature of upper Schooner Gulch for the years 1996-1997 and 1999-2001.  Floating weekly average temperatures did not exceed 16.8 degrees during any of the five years measured, indicating that the creek is suitable for coho with regard to temperature in the reach measured.  Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C.  See InfoLinks for more information.
