Caption: This chart shows monthly average minimum, mean, and maximum temperatures at Mineral based on air temperature records extending from 1931 to 2000. Air temperatures during November through April remain around freezing (32 F); indicating that Battle Creek even at this elevation (4907 feet) is a wet or warm snow area and is subject to rain-on-snow storm events. Air temperatures are calculated from data from the National Climatic Data Center and extending from 1931 to 2000.
