Fish: Late Fall Chinook Sacramento River Returns 1971-2003 |

Caption: This Chart shows the total late fall chinook salmon to the Sacramento River, including tributaries and hatchery returns from 1971 to 2003. The population estimates vary widely in terms of methods of estimation and levels of counting effort. The lowest total was in 1995 when only 489 late falls returned, but rebounded to a high of 42,419 in 1998. Results for 2000-2003 are provisional and subject to revision. Data provided by the California Department of Fish and Game reports. See Info Links for more information.
