Fish: Winter Run Sacramento Escapement 1967-2003 |
|
Caption: The winter run chinook returns to the main Sacramento River from 1967 through 2003 are displayed in this chart. The maximum return during this period occurred in 1969 when approximately 117,808 fish returned while the minimum return was 189 in 1994. The winter run declined precipitously as a result of the 1976-77 drought and has never fully recovered, although runs since 1999 have shown an increasing trend (see the next chart for a detail of recent years). Data provided by the California Department of Fish and Game as part of its annual report to the Fish and Game Commission. See Info Links for more information and a link to reports.
