Habitat: Pool Depth, Middle Fork and Tributaries |
|
Caption: The above chart illustrates how pools with depths in excess of 3 feet are rare in the Middle Fork Ten Mile River basin. The Middle Fork (Clark Fork) is a large stream where most pools would be expected to be at least three feet deep under a variety of conditions. All tributaries in the Middle Fork Ten Mile basin have fewer than 25% pools deeper than 3 feet. According to CDFG benchmarks for this habitat feature, all Middle Fork Ten Mile tributaries would be described as providing only poor quality habitat for salmonid fish rearing (CDFG 1994). Streams are sorted by basin area. See Info Links for more information.
