| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the West Branch Sheepscot River at Whitefield near its confluence with the mainstem Sheepscot River (river kilometer 0.37, site 550) for a brief period in 2002. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level.
