This 1957 photograph shows boulder roughs near the mouth of Big Sulphur Creek. The caption states that "a good number (100 plus)" adult steelhead were observed below the roughs. There were differing opinions among CDFG personal about whether or not this constituted a partial or complete barrier, and what course of action should be taken. The photograph was taken on the January 24, 1957. The image was scanned from a photograph at the archives of the California Department of Fish and Game regional office in Yountville, California.
