Caption:  This chart displays the number of adult steelhead captured for months during which a fyke net trap was operated in Mark West Creek. The period spans two winter/spring periods that show a fairly consistent pattern in steelhead migration. One Chinook was capture in November, 1994. Traps were operated for at least 16 days in all but the following months: 1993/12 (1 day), 1994/02 (5 days), 1994/04 (11 day), 1995/03 (8 days), and 1995/04 (08). Trap status information in the Source Table also indicates variation in trap efficiency. The data demonstrate downstream migration of steelhead juveniles in all months monitored (October-May). Data were collected by Merritt Smith Consulting for the City of Santa Rosa. See InfoLinks for more information. Click on Map for location of trap sites.
