   Caption:  This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperature at Redwood Creek for the year 2001.  In fall 2001, two coho salmon juveniles were found approximately one mile upstream from the location shown in this chart.  Maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C.  Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C.  See InfoLinks for more information.  Temperature data comes from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Russian River and its tributaries by the California Department of Fish and Game.
