Fish: Maacama Creek Trap 1993-1995 Adult Steelhead |
|
Caption: This chart displays the number of adult steelhead captured for months during which a fyke net trap was operated in Maacama Creek. The period spans two winter/spring periods that show a fairly consistent pattern in steelhead migration. One coho was trapped in 1993 and 18 were trapped in 1994; 9 Chinook were captured in 1994 and one in 1995. Traps were operated for at least 16 days in all but the following months: 1993/12 (1 day), 1994/02 (5 days), 1994/04 (11 days), 1995/03 (8 days), and 1995/04 (08). Trap status information in the Source Table also indicates variation in trap efficiency. The data demonstrate downstream migration of steelhead juveniles in all months monitored (October-May). Data were collected by Merritt Smith Consulting for the City of Santa Rosa. See InfoLinks for more information. Click on Map for location of trap sites.
