Topic	Fish: Estuary Steelhead Length by Month from Seining 1996

 

Caption:  This Chart shows the size of individual juvenile steelhead caught using a beach seine from July through November 1996 in the Russian River estuary at four stations. Note that few steelhead were captured in September and that the sample is small, but the size of fish captured increased during the season. This could be due to growth of fish in the estuary but could be the result of larger steelhead moving downstream into the estuary preparing for ocean entry. Data collected by Merritt Smith Consulting on behalf of Sonoma County. See InfoLinks for more information.
