Habitat: Maximum Pool Depths in Green Valley Cr and Tribs 1994-2001 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the maximum depth of pools measured during California Department of Fish and Game habitat typing surveys in Green Valley Creek and its tributaries in 1994, 1995, and 2001. Streams in the chart are sorted by Strahler order (with larger streams at the top), and reaches are numbered upstream beginning at stream mouths. Pools were relatively shallow, with few pools over 3 feet deep, especially outside of fourth order streams (Green Valley and Atascadero Creeks). Pools deeper than three feet are preferred habitat for juvenile coho and older age steelhead. See InfoLinks for more information.
