Caption:  The Source Table "rrarm_hab98.xls.db" contains data reported by the Sonoma County Water Agency for a 1998 study of aquatic habitat conditions in three areas of the Russian River. Two other areas in the Alexander Valley were studied and reaches stratified upstream of, within, and downstream of gravel skimming operations. Total lengths of the reaches in feet (TOT_LNG_FT) do not include side-channels. Other column definitions are as follows: N= number of pools, Depth=average depth of pools, Complexity = percent of pools with cover, Bank_Cover = percent of bank with cover, Embeddedness = degree of embeddednessof spawning gravels by fine sediment, Pool_pct = percent length of reach comprised of pools, Run_pct = percent length of reach comprised of runs, Riffle_pct = percent length of reach comprised of riffles.
