   Caption:  This chart shows the number of Chinook salmon redds found per kilometer in five reaches of the mainstem Russian River in fall 2001.  Spawning density increases moving from the lowest reach (Dry Creek) to the highest reach (Ukiah). Although the number of fish were far fewer than in 2002, the distribution of spawners was similar.
