Timber Harvest: Percent Harvested in Panther Cr 1977-2000 |

Caption: The chart above shows the annual and cumulative percent of land area harvested between 1977 and 2000 for the Panther Creek Calwater Planning Watershed. This watershed has had 74% of the area subject to harvest, far above the 25% threshold cited by Reeves et al. (1992) who found that diversity of salmonids in Oregon coastal streams diminished when basins were harvested over this amount. These data were compiled from THP records provided by the California Department of Forestry, Santa Rosa office. See Info Links for links to more discussion on this topic.
