Sediment: Suspended Sediment Middle Redwood Creek WY1991-2001 |
|
Caption: This chart displays suspended sediment concentration (mg/L) verse unit discharge (cfs/mi^2) for monitoring stations in Lacks and Panther Creeks for the water years 1991 to 2001. Unit discharge is a measure of discharge per basin area, standardizing discharge measurements and allowing the comparison of basins with different areas. The Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans (2000) reported that coho cease feeding when suspended sediment concentrations exceed 300 mg/L. Concentrations often exceeded this value in Lacks Creek and Panther Creek. These data are from Redwood National Park. See Info Links for more Information.
