Click on image to enlarge (136K). Lower Pudding Creek runs parallel the Skunk Railroad line and has a very low gradient. This reach has abundant aquatic vegetation but provides suitable habitat for juvenile coho salmon. This reach is cooled by coastal fog.
Pudding Creek with marshy areas adjacent, hardwoods and conifers in the riparian buffer and brush and shrubs upslope.

Lower Pudding Creek looking upstream at the point near where the Skunk Railroad lines crosses over into the Noyo River drainage. Notice medium to large size conifers in the riparian zone.
