Caption:  The chart shows the floating weekly average water temperature in Celsius (°C) of lower John Smith Creek (Site 81-2) for the years 1989-1993. Maximum floating weekly average water temperatures did not exceed 16.8°C at this site in 1991 or 1993, which would make it suitable with regard to temperature for coho salmon (Welsh et al., 2001) in those years. The water temperature in 1990 suggests placement may have been different because 1991 and 1992 were as dry as 1990, but reflected substantially cooler temperatures.
