Caption:  The chart shows the daily minimum, maximum and average water temperature in Celsius (°C) at Navarro River at Dimmick Park (Site 82-3) for the year 2001. Daily maximum, average and minimum temperatures were above 15.6°C, the upper optimal temperature for salmonid rearing (McCullough, 1999), most days between May and August. Maximum temperatures, however, did not also exceed the recognized lethal level for Pacific salmon of 25 C (Sullivan et al., 2000) as they did in 1989 (see previous Topic).
