Caption:  The chart shows the floating weekly average water temperature in Celsius (°C) at Navarro River at Hendy Woods (site 88-1) for the years 1990-1994.Temperatures are well above those known to support coho (Welsh et al., 2001) but also in the range stressful or lethal to steelhead (Sullivan et al., 2000). An MWAT of 23.5 C as in 1990 would frequently have maximum temperatures of greater than 25 C, which is recognized as lethal to Pacific salmon species by Sullivan et al. (2000).
