Habitat: Habitat Types by Length Mainstem Navarro Sub-basin 1996 |
|
Caption: The chart reflects pool habitat availability, or the proportion of surveyed lengths of streams in the mainstem Navarro River sub-basin appearing as pool habitat. Streams are sorted by Strahler order, with larger streams at the top. Pool habitat by percent length (blue bars) was lowest in Hungry Hollow Creek (11%) and Little Mill Creek (12%), both tributaries to Mill Creek. The chart also illustrates the percentage of habitat that had lost surface flow (red). August. According to CDFG (1998) benchmarks for percent pool habitat, six of eleven streams of the mainstem Navarro River sub-basin provide poor habitat (<25%), and only Floodgate Creek provides good habitat (>50%).
