The invasive English ivy is climbing up shrubs and trees in the foreground of the photo and can choke out riparian forests. The upland areas are wooded with hardwoods and conifers. This photo shows a close up of bank failure on lower Elk Creek. It does not appear that there was any grazing occurring at this location at the time of this photo. The bank failure is more likely a product of over supply. Photo by Pat Higgins, February 15, 2002.
