Caption:  The Source Table, spawn9400.dbf, contains results from spawning surveys conducted by Mattole Salmon Group between fall of 1994 and spring of 2000. The reaches have established start and end points but are not always completed in their entirety. All but "Bear Creek" and "Tributaries" are mainstem Mattole River survey reaches. REDDSPMI (average number of redds per mile) was calculated as total redds (REDDS) divided by reach length (REACH_MI). Survey effort, coverage and timing have varied somewhat from season to season, depending upon such factors as funding, availability of trained personnel, weather conditions and water visibility. INTENSITY is a measure of coverage (SURV_MI divided by REACH_MI).
