Fish: Chinook (Spring) SF Trinity 1992-2002 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the results of annual summer snorkel surveys conducted on the South Fork Trinity River between 1992 and 2002. Five reaches were not surveyed in 1999 due to excessive turbidity. The returns range from a low of 166 in 1992 and 2002 and a high of 1097 in 1996. LaFaunce (1966) estimated the South Fork spring Chinook population at over 10,000 in 1964, just before the large flood of that year substantially altered habitat. Data were provided by the California Department of Fish and Game. See Info Links for more information.
