| Caption: This Chart displays maximum daily water temperatures during 1996 at four Shasta River locations. The warmest water temperatures were at the lowest point in the Shasta Valley at Anderson Grade Road. Temperatures at Montague Grenada Road showed a similar pattern but tended to be 1 to 2 degrees cooler than at Anderson Grade. Temperatures at county road A-12 and East Louie Road exceeded stressful for considerable periods in 1996, but did not exceed lethal levels (25 C). | |
