Fish: Green Sturgeon Run-timing in Salmon River 2002 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the number of green sturgeon observed in the Salmon River during five snorkel dives in May and June 2002. The number of green sturgeon in the river peaked in the May 24 and June 4 surveys, before quickly dropping to zero on June 11, indicating that the sturgeon had likely spawned and moved downstream. All green sturgeon observed were adults, ranging in size from 4.5ft-8ft in total length. A minimum of two divers were used during surveys. Data were provided by the Karuk Tribe.
