| Caption: This chart shows the percent of total sediment volume resulting from landslides in the Lower Middle Trinity River Planning Watershed. Landslides are categorized by land use associations that include categories of road, harvest, or forest. Road and harvest landslides are considered management related. Forest slides were identified in non-managed areas. The 1979 period yielded a greater total volume of sediment from landslides than the 2000 period. The decrease in sediment is attributed to improved harvest implementation following the 1973 change in the Forest Practice Rules, and a lack of large storms.
