Description	The Trinity County Weed Management Cooperative (TCWMC) is an interagency group that implements weed control, education, and mapping projects in the county. The TCWMC has prioritized the control of noxious weed based on the distribution of the weed in the county and its state rating by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) and the California Invasive Plant Council. Diffuse knapweed is limited to one location in Trinity County, along the road network on South Fork Mountain. The population occupies approximately 800 acres and had the potential to spread along Highway 36. The TCWMC mapped the population in June of 2001 to determine its full extent and has been containing the population within its 2001 boundary by manual control each spring.
