Temperature: Floating Weekly Average at Red Cap Creek 1997-2002 |
|
Caption: This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperatures at lower Red Cap Creek (site 140) for the years 1997-2002. Maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C in all six years measured, which would make it unsuitable for coho rearing (Welsh et al., 2001), but it would still be highly suitable for steelhead juveniles. Temperature data come from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Klamath River and its tributaries by the Klamath National Forest and the Karuk Tribe.
