| Caption: This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperatures at three sites in the Beaver Creek watershed for the year 2002: Middle Beaver Creek (site 135), West Fork Beaver Creek (site 119), and Cow Creek (site 120). Maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) did not exceeded 16.8°C in any of the three sites, indicating that stream temperatures were suitable for juvenile coho salmon (Welsh et al., 2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where MWAT exceeds 16.8°C. Temperature data comes from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Klamath River and its tributaries by the Klamath National Forest and the Karuk Tribe.
