Temperature: Floating Weekly Average Willow Creek @ 4 Locations 2001 |
|
Caption: This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperatures at four sites in Willow Creek for the year 2001. Maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C only at Willow Creek's mouth, indicating that the upper portions of the watershed are suitable for coho salmon juveniles. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where MWAT exceeds 16.8°C. Temperature data come from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Trinity River and its tributaries by the Six Rivers National Forest, lower Trinity Ranger District.
