Fish: Tish Tang Cr Downstream Trap Results 1993 |
|
Caption: Raw catch downstream migrant trapping results for Tish Tang Creek in 1993 show reduced catches from 1992, except for young of the year steelhead (SH_YOY), because of high flows. Trapping commenced on 3/3/92 and ran through 7/10/92 and sampling took place on 58 days. However, regular trapping did not begin until mid-April and flows remained high into June. Chinook juveniles were the most numerous species followed by steelhead young of the year (<70 mm). Coho were more numerous than steelhead greater than 70 mm (SH_OLDER), which may have been able to avoid the fyke net in high flows. The data were collected by the Hoopa Tribal Fisheries Department. See the Source Table for complete records including flows, water temperature and hours trapped each day.
