Fish: Downstream Trap 1990 Results from Hunter Cr |
|
Caption: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Arcata Office operated a downstream migrant trap on several Lower Klamath tributaries in 1990 (click on Chart Table to see raw data). One trap was rotated between sites so each creek was only sampled for a total of approximately twelve nights; however, results are still more useful for assessing community structure than other methods, such as spot electrofishing. Hunter Creek fish populations were dominated by non-salmonids including warm water adapted species such as suckers, stickleback and dace. See Info Links for more information.
