Sediment: Pine Creek Chinook Expected Emergence, 1992-1993 |

Caption: The Hoopa Tribal Fisheries Department collected fine sediment data at 16 sites in the Pine Creek watershed in 1992 and 1993. The Chart above shows the projected percent survival and emergence of Chinook salmon using calculations based on particle size distribution derived by Lotspeich and Everest. Chinook are most affected by fines because their larger head diameter makes them more susceptible to plugging of interstitial spaces. See Info Links for more information.
