Sediment: Pine Creek Fines < 4 mm, 1992-1993 |

Caption: The Hoopa Tribal Fisheries Department collected fine sediment data at 16 sites in the Pine Creek watershed in 1992 and 1993. Four samples were taken at each station and the average amount of fine sediment less than 4 mm is shown above. Fine sediment in this class is sand-sized and smaller which is highly mobile, even in minor storm events. Redds can be capped by sand. Desired levels for fine sediment less than 6.4 mm is less than 30% according to the Garcia River TMDL published by the U.S. EPA. See Info Links for more information.
