Fish: Downstream Trap 1990 Results from Panther Cr |
|
Caption: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Arcata Office operated a downstream migrant trap on several Lower Klamath tributaries in 1990 (click on source table for results). One trap was rotated so each creek was only sampled for a total of approximately twelve nights; however, results are still more useful for assessing community structure than other methods, such as spot electrofishing. Panther Creek fish populations are dominated by warm water adapted fish as opposed to salmonids. See Info Links for more information.
