Temperature: Floating Weekly Average of Big River at Wildhorse Opening |
|
Caption: Floating weekly average water temperature of the upper Big River upstream of the South Fork (Site 7-41/Wildhorse Opening) exceeded 16.8 degrees C in all years measured. This reach is temperature limited for coho salmon production. The 16.8 degree C stress threshold was chosen based on Welsh et al. (2001). See Info Links for more information. Data provided by the Mendocino Redwood Company. The oscillating temperature data in 1994 is a function of how daily summaries were calculated by MRC. Raw data for 1994 was not provided to the KRIS project. Click on Picture for map of locations.
