Caption: Water temperatures in Gates Creek in 1997 peaked at 21.6 degrees Celsius in August. The optimal water temperature for salmonid growth (10-15 degrees C) was exceeded for all of the summer on record, even by the minimum temperature for some periods. The maximum diurnal temperature shift was approximately 5 degrees Celsius and the seasonal fluctuation was 10 degrees C. Click on Info Links for more information. Click on Picture to see location.
