Caption: Floating weekly average water temperature of the SF Big River above its convergence with the mainstem was 2.0-2.5 degrees warmer than Daugherty Creek throughout the summer of 1997. Both streams exceeded the habitable limit for coho salmon throughout the summer. The 16.8 degree C stress threshold for coho salmon was chosen based on Welsh et al. (2001).
